The Mount Dora History Museum is a local history museum in Mount Dora, Florida. It was formerly known as the Royellou Museum, after the city’s former name, Royellou.

The Mount Dora History Museum is commonly described as eclectic, mostly due to the variety of its displays and exhibits. Being a local history museum, it tries to depict the area’s growth the best way that it can, so there’s a great mix of different artifacts and memorabilia. On display are an old jail cell, citrus display, the infamous moonshine still of Calvin Calhoun, and many other items that chronicle the homesteading and Native American history of the area.

Housed in the city’s 1923 fire and police station building, the Mount Dora History Museum is open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
