The Museum of Florida Art and Culture is an art museum in Avon Park, Florida. It is dedicated to providing an exhibition venue for local Florida artists while preserving the state?s history and heritage through the art works.

Located inside the South Florida Community College campus, the Museum of Florida Art and Culture?s primary function is to research the local art tradition. It is focused on the first half of the 1900s, which is also the same period wherein the area experienced great growth and trials of youth.

The Museum of Florida Art and Culture is best noted for the discovery of the Highwaymen. The Highwaymen is a group of black artists from the eastern part of the state who helped mark the beginning of Florida?s contemporary art tradition.
