The Museum of Florida History is a history museum in Tallahassee, Florida. It is best noted for exploring and chronicling the history of the state of Florida in general.

Opened in 1977 through a state legislation passed ten years before, the Museum of Florida History is packed with a lot of things to see and do. Their permanent exhibits include displays about the Civil War, World War II, and the colonial period in the state. There’s also a section about the different naval ships named after the state. Aside from these, there are also a great number of hands on activities for the kids.

The Museum of Florida History is open all week long until 4:30 in the afternoon, even on holidays.
