The Museum of Science & History is a history and science museum in Jacksonville, Florida. It is one of the most popular attractions in the city, welcoming thousands of visitors every year.

The Museum of Science & History or the MOSH traces its roots back to 1941 when it was chartered as the Jacksonville Children’s Museum. It was initially housed in a Victorian mansion in Riverside, but was later moved to its permanent and current home in 1969 after its construction. It has always been designed as a museum for kids, originally being called the Jacksonville Children’s Museum. This, however, doesn’t mean that grownups will note enjoy the site, especially with the planetarium and its daily shows.

Packed with various hands-on science and history displays and exhibits, the Museum of Science & History is a great place to visit if you’re ever in the area. They’re open all week long and even have special days when admission is free.
