The Museum of Southern History is a history museum in Jacksonville, Florida. It is focused on the history of the south during the antebellum and Civil War eras.

The South is best known for its rich history, which is mostly brought upon by its great involvement with the Civil War. Being on the losing end of the said conflict, the South has forever been branded with certain negativity. Most people judge the region for being pro-slavery and other things related to the issues back in the day. However, there’s another side to that story, and the Museum of Southern History aims to show that side to the public through several artifacts and memorabilia from the period.

The Museum of Southern History is open on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
