The Norton Museum of Art is an internationally acclaimed art museum in Palm Beach, Florida. It features a wide range of displays, with its more than 5000-piece art work collection.
Established in 1941, the Norton Museum of Art is named after its founders, Ralph Hubbard Norton and his first wife, Elizabeth Calhoun Norton. The museum started out as a way of Norton?s sharing of his sizable art collection. They had the building constructed after the Art Deco/Neoclassical design by Marion Sims Wyeth that is still the current home of the museum.
The Norton Museum of Art has a great amount of art works on display. However, it is largely concentrated on European, American, and Chinese art. It also has a good number of pieces of photography and contemporary art.
