The Palmetto Historical Park is a historic site, turned park, in Palmetto, Florida. It is a place where locals and visitors can learn South Florida?s history through tangible evidences like various historic structures.

The creation of the Palmetto Historical Park started in 1982 when the city moved to save the original post office from destruction. In 1997, the site was formed into what it is today and additional historic buildings were added later on. Today, you can find the Heritage Station Post Office, Heritage Chapel, Cottage Museum, Schoolhouse and Carnegie Library, and a 1910 family home on the site. The site is also the home of the Manatee County Agricultural Museum.

If you?re after a day of informative fun and you?re around the area, the Palmetto Historical Park could be visited on Tuesdays through Fridays and 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.
