Considered a partner of the O?leno State Park as part of the Santa Fe River underground path, the River Rise Preserve State Park is a state recreation facility and natural preserve.

The River Rise Preserve State Park is so named because it is the site of the re-emergence of the Santa Fe River whose waters head underground at the O?leno State Park over three miles away. This phenomenon is the main attraction of the park. The park is also the natural habitat of hundreds of different species of animals and native vegetation.

Popular activities in the park include angling, hiking, and wildlife viewing. There are also over twenty miles of trails and several horse camps for those interested in horseback riding.
