Commonly referred to as the ?Science Center?, The Science Center of Pinellas County is a unique educational facilty dedicated to encouraging the study and teaching of science.

Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, The Science Center of Pinellas County was founded by forward thinking members of the community in 1959 and is renowned as the first science education facilty in the United States. It is a privately owned non-profit facility located inside a seven acre property in western St. Petersburg.

The Science Center of Pinellas County hosts and educates more than 25,000 school children from all around the area. They do this amazing feat through field trips, winter, summer and spring workshops, and they even conduct science education courses and classes in the community featuring several great scientific minds as speakers.
