SeaWorld Orlando, a theme park and a marine-life entertainment complex that is dedicated to the earth?s oceans and its inhabitants, is located near Orlando, Florida. It houses individually themed attractions and ranks as the ninth most-visited amusement park in the United States. It is owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, a subsidiary of The Blackstone Group.

The theme of the main entrance of the park is inspired by the city of Florida itself, creatively laid out with a tropical landscape and an artificial freshwater marina. The architecture and landscaping in the Key West section is designed after the city of Key West, Florida, with very extensive animal exhibits that include Cownose rays, Southern stingrays, Green sea turtles, Hawksbill sea turtles, Loggerhead sea turtles, Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins, Greater flamingos, West Indian manatees, and the American alligator. Another section in the park is the Shamu?s Happy Harbor, which is designed specifically for children and hosted by Shamu, the park's killer whale mascot. The newest section in the park is The Waterfront, which is similar to a seaside Mediterranean village, complete with boutiques, restaurants, and a pearl dive exhibit. The Wild Arctic indoor pavilion has a motion simulator and an indoor animal exhibit with Polar bears, Beluga whales, and Pacific walrus, all of which add to a recreation of an exploration base camp located in the arctic region.

Sea World Orlando also features state-of-the-art rides like the Manta, which is the only flying roller coaster invented. Also a popular ride is Sea World's Journey to Atlantis, which boasts a 60-foot drop. Sea World's Kraken, Orlando's tallest and fastest roller coaster, literally pulls out all the stops with speeds of up to 65 miles per hour.
