The Silver Spurs Rodeo is a semi-annual rodeo event in Kissimmee, Florida. It is one of the most popular events in the area and is best noted as one of the fifty largest rodeos in the country.

Also commonly referred to as the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi River, the Silver Spurs Rodeo is definitely one event that every rodeo enthusiast shouldn’t miss. The event traces its history back to 1944, just a couple of years after the Silver Spurs Riding Club was formed in the city. During the war, the club sponsored a rodeo as a way of encouraging locals to purchase war bonds. It was held once a year until 1951, when a February event was added. The February date is a very notable event that it is a declared school holiday throughout the county.
