The Skyway Fishing Pier State Park is a state park in St. Petersburg, Florida. It features the old Sunshine Skyway Bridge, the one that had some parts collapse in 1980, and was transformed into a fishing pier.

Today, the old bridge serves as the world’s longest fishing pier. Anglers troop to the old bridge at all times of the day, as it is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The pier is also lighted, so fishers can see what they’re doing. The light also tends to attract different kinds of fish during the night time.

When visiting the Skyway Fishing Pier State Park, take note of the rules and regulations. There are only a number of designated, legal, fishing areas on the site, so make sure to observe those. An admission fee is also charged.
