The South Florida Museum is a museum in Bradenton, Florida. It is focused on telling the natural and cultural history of the Florida gulf coast.

South Florida Museum traces its history back to 1946, when it was incorporated as a private and not for profit corporation. It aims to educate the public about the area’s history and attract tourists and visitors to the growing downtown district at the same time. Its current structure was its second home.

The South Florida Museum is considered as the largest natural and cultural history museum on the Gulf Coast area of the state. It offers permanent and changing exhibits. It is also the home of the Bishop Planetarium and the Parker Manatee Aquarium.
