St. George Island is unusual sea island, with its colorful unspoiled native floral. In the 10th and 15th centuries it was inhabited by Creek Indians. It is a barricade island in the Gulf of Mexico that surrounds Apalachicola Bay in Franklin Coast. Tourism and real estate are the main industries on St. George Island. The newest additional to the island is the magnificent Cape St. George Light that was rebuilt from the remains of final Cape St. George Lighthouse. A magical touch is within the island, watching the sunrise and sunset and listening to the water waves brings out the inner peace of each visitors. St. George Island is never crowed even to the peak of summer. The island is also welcome for pet lovers who wanted to bring their pets along.

With relaxing activities that the island can offer, families can bond and do some stuff together. A legend says that pirates? way back in history buried some treasures in the island. Fictional or non-fictional the St. George Island is the treasure itself.
