The St. Lucie County Regional History Center is an educational center and museum that is dedicated to the local history of St. Lucie County and surrounding areas.
The main feature in this museum is its permanent exhibit showcasing the development of St. Lucie County throughout history. This includes information on pre-colonization settlers in the area including the Ais tribe. There is also an area dedicated to the famous wrecks of the Spanish treasure fleets. Also included are depictions of Seminole encampments during the brutal Seminole wars.
The history center also offers guided tours through historical sites like the Register-Gardner house which provide a unique perspective on the states pioneer beginnings. The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am (12pm on Sunday) - 4 pm.
