Built as the Pensacola City Hall in 1907, the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum is one of the premier museums in western Florida featuring the rich history of the city of Pensacola and the surrounding region in the Florida panhandle.

The museum collection started as roadside amusement stand by T.T. Wentworth who promised to donate his entire collection if a permanent location was provided in Pensacola. The old city hall was then renovated and turned into the museum, featuring Wentworth’s collection on the first floor.

The rest of the museum is dedicated to the artifacts that display the rich heritage of the city including exhibits focusing on African-American journalism, colonialism, the age of discovery, and the civil war era.
