Tampa Theatre is a historic movie palace in Tampa, Florida. It is currently known and noted as one of Tampa?s oldest and most prized landmarks.

The Tampa Theatre traces its roots back to 1926, when the building was originally completed. It was constructed as a movie palace in the atmospheric theatre style by architect John Eberson. It has always been a very handsome building ever since, but what made it stand out more is that it was the first commercial building in the city to have air conditioning. This made the site more appealing, especially during the summer months.

Now a part of the League of Historic American Theatres, the Tampa Theatre continues to show independent, foreign, and documentary films daily.
