The Umatilla Historical Museum, also known as the Greater Umatilla Historical Museum, is a regional museum which features Umatilla as it was known during the past as the central hub of culture in the state.
The museum itself is in the old school building. The exhibits in the museum are constantly changing, mostly because the Lake County Historical Society wishes to use multiple exhibits to feature the multitude of events and cultures that created what Lake County is today.
Some of their most famous exhibits is the railroad caboose, the recreation of a one-room schoolhouse, a fire engine from the 1930?s and the 1879 homestead. There are also other galleries which feature traditional life in the city including pictures of the oldest families in the area.
