The water park opened in 1977 and is recognized as one of the pioneering water parks of a grand scale in the United States. It was acclaimed by Travel Channel as one of the most extreme water theme parks in the U.S. and has set the backdrop for many music videos. Of course, Wet n? Wild would be nothing without its famous thrill slides. To be exact, there are 18 of such slides found in the water park which are clustered into four types: Kids Rides, Multi-Person Rides, Thrill Rides and Other Attractions. Another attraction in Universal Orland Resort is Universal CityWalk which was inaugurated in 1999. At night, it comes alive with its retail mecca and dining oasis featuring different cuisines.
