The Venice Art Center is a not only an art gallery but and art education facility providing arts and crafts classes to students of different levels and skills. The art center also provides an opportunity for artists to meet other people in their field and related areas.

Started as a small art association in the late 50?s and early 60?s the art center, then known as the Venice art league, started to create plans for a permanent gallery and exhibition space. During the surge in development in the area during the next decades, it became apparent that there would be a need for more exhibition space and classroom areas for training. Thus, the art center as we know it today was created.
