The Wreck Bar is a small and cozy bar and lounge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is best known for its nautical theme and the Mermaid Show that it hosts regularly.

Known as the Medusirena, the Wreck Bar’s mermaid show is one of the top attractions in the area. It features ladies costumed as mermaids swimming in a tank and performing several enticing things while being watched through the porthole-style windows that adorn the lounge’s walls, giving it an underwater vibe. The show regularly takes place on Friday nights and totally fills the venue, especially since it’s also Happy Hour when appetizers are half-priced and draft beers only cost $2.

The Wreck Bar is also famous for being where the movie, “Where the Boys Are” was filmed.
