Choccolocco Mountain Off Road Vehicle Park

If you are looking for a great offroad park be sure to check out Choccolocco Mountain Off Road Vehicle Park. Located in Jacksonville, Alabama, just one mile from the town square. Restaurants, parts stores, propane, and hotels are located within three to five minutes of the park. We welcome every type of off road vehicle; atv's, side by sides, dirt bikes, four wheel drives, rail buggies, and rock crawlers. The park is 450 acres of mountains with over 200 trails and obstacles. The trails are rated 1-5, clearly marked, and wide enough for full size vehicles. The 1 & 2's are easily accessible for atv's and stock four wheel drives. The 4 & 5's are extremely difficult, strictly for built rock crawling vehicles only. Over 100 of the trails are great for easy trail riding. There are also plenty of extreme obstacles to play on. All of the extreme trails are accessible through the easy trails. We have a large wooded campground with many primitive camping spaces, fire rings, and firewood provided. There is a pavillion with a picnic area, and handicap accessible restrooms and showers. Choccolocco Mountain is a place where friends and families can come to relax, have fun and enjoy the mountains, wildlife, and scenery.

We went to Choccolocco Mountain (9/4/10) and what a AWESOME Park. Trails and Trails everywhere. Arrived at 12:00PM and did not leave till 6:00PM. 6 hours of exploring of fun trails and really did not repeat that many trails. They have trails for everyone from the novice beginner to the hardcore trails. If you have a stock jeep, you will find trails that you can do. Over 200 trails and obstacles to choose from. These trails wide enough for full size vehicles and we found that 95% of the trails are marked and the map at the gate was really great. We knew where we were most of the time. Something that was neat was like on the Peddle Hill, the had a bicycle hanging on the tree with the name. On the trail Tin Can, they had a large tin can by the entrance of the trail.

We stayed on trails that were rated from 1 to 3 since that was our class. This would be a great small tire ride. A lot of the trails names fit the names. You can look on the map (red trails) and listed are the trails that we did today:
Peddle Hill - 3
Radio Flyer - 3
Burrow - 2
Blower - 3
Baja - 2
Rockwell - 2
Ground Hog - 3
Ghost Hunt - 2
Voltar - 2
Mud Hill - 2
Payton Pl - 2
Chicken Trl - 2
Swamp Rd - 2
Swamp - 3
Blue Ridge - 2
Chain Link - 2
Overlook - 2
Scenic View -1 to 2
Arsanal - 1 to 2
Tombstone - 2
Bulldog - 2
Phoenix -1
Fizzle - 2
Gauntlet - 2
