Colbert County, AL is the home of the Coon Dog Cemetery. Its the only one I've ever heard of, and its very neat to visit. It located south of Hwy. 72 in the middle of the Freedom Hills Wildlife Management Area.

Check out the USS Alabama in Mobile Bay. Great museum along with other ships you can look at. Its pretty neat.

Man vs Wild is a crap, the guy does have a nice background but the show is artificial and full of bs. Les Stroud with Survivorman and Beyond Survival is the best show on the genre.

Actually, back in the 70's (I Think) somebody with the state conservation department had the bright idea of introducing gators into the Tennessee River in the area between Decatur and Guntersville. I'm sure the cold eventually put an end to that little deal. Maybe the guy on the show got hold of that info and didn't realize how stupid it was. I grew up in that area and I remember how crazy we thought the gator deal was when we read about it in the paper. The hicks knew it wouldn't work, but the educated morons didn't know any better.

The gulf beaches...including the Alabama coast...have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! We also have beautiful lakes, rivers, mountains, great college towns with lots of history & tradition, & more. I think you'll also be surprised that we aren't all toothless & wearing wife beater tshirts!
