I was spoiled by a childhood in MN and having the lights as regular visitors. I miss them but not the clear cold nights.

Pictures don't do the Northern Lights justice because they are not static. The pulsating weirdness and ever changing kaleidascopic beauty is indescribable.

Something everyone should see at least once in their lives.

I spotted an old commercial copy (VHS) of the lights in a thrift store. It's 50's quality but the natural movement does make a huge difference.

the further north you go youll have a better chance, all year and every where it still happens
