Jobs in AZ?

What's the overall job market look like in AZ right now? The fiancee and I have discussed moving there, but were not sure what the market is like, or where (if anywhere) the jobs are.

Oh, I'm in the IT field and she's in accounting, if that helps.

Thanks

Stay away! I could have sold my house for 56k a month ago if I had seen this. Seriously though I just moved from Arizona because the market is pretty bad out there depending on what what you do.

I disagree,

The Job market in Sierra Vista for IT is actually really nice. I was looking for a few and found a job quick, contact Apex or General Dynamics IT for jobs on Fort Huachuca.

I work in Sierra Vista and commute from Tucson, and quite a few people do that. The Commute is not that great but it works out in the end. There is a sizeable presence of IT Security in Tucson with the Border Patrol as well.

Don't believe everything you hear, however make sure you land the position before you make and drastic changes.

Thanks for the info so far. Guess it makes sense things are depressed everywhere.

The Fort Huachuca jobs sounds like it might be a good thing. I'm currently working with a GOV contractor on an army base where I'm at now, so it may make getting a position there a little easier. I will look into Apex and GD.

Thanks!

Also, we have quite a number of corporate offices here in Phoenix, AMEX, Petsmart, Safeway, Choice Hotels, USAA, Motorola, IBM, Honeywell to name a few.
