I grew up in Prescott in the mid 60's and to now read in print that Prescott Valley is a notable city just blows my mind. Back then it was nothing but a wide spot in the road with a much of mobile home lots out on the windy treeless landscape! We use to joke that when we got out of high school, we were heading off to college at Dewey Tech or Humbolt U. For those of you who don't know the area, Dewey and Humbolt are small towns (pop of 2 or 3 K) east of Prescott about half an hours drive. You have to go through Prescott Valley to get to these cities. Both Dewey and Humbolt still remain the same size basically as back then and Prescott Valley has grown from a scattering of houses to about 40K! Quite the real estate success story.
