The housing market here in Arizona flat
imploded hence nice places going for fire sale prices. Note that wages in Kingman tend to be low for mechanics (I am an alignment man by trade), perhaps due to so many many techs locating there, hard to say.
Google Rte 66 and Kingman; they have a lot of activities since the Mother Road passes right through town. Too; the Hualapai Mountains are a few minutes away and don't forget about Bullhead City/Laughlin, etc.
Building codes in Mohave County are supposedly strict but probably more realistic than anywhere in California. Note that Kingman is the county seat.
I personally like the downtown section of Kingman with its pre WW II Craftsman houses.
