Ip Man

Taking place during the Japanese invasion of China, Ip Man is about, Ip Man, one of the practitioners of Wing Chun who went on to teach Bruce Lee.

Although it's based heavily in Wire Fu, the action sequences are more shot at full speed, and the action is allowed to flow, the distinction of fluidity in Wang Chun is well expressed over other Kung Fu movies and styles.

All and all, it was entertaining. The treatment of the main characters by the Japanese is a little over stereotyped, one character in particular could be something out of Charlie Chan, in that the exaggeration of the character is bit extreme, and interrupts the movie at times.

This movie is very typical of Chinese Kung Fu movies, and more or less typifies the genre.

If you are looking for classic antics from your Kung Fu flic, check out Ip Man.
