LAST PART- Join Popcorn Sutton and J.B. as they do what they do best, one last time. This film is unavailable ANYWHERE as it was Mr Sutton's to distribute personally and I felt that it was worth sharing. Film maker NEAL HUTCHESON- 2009 Emmy Award winner- created this outstanding work of art. I own no copyrights to this film. Credit goes to the film maker, Neal Hutcheson, and Popcorn Sutton. R.I.P Mr. Sutton.- You are missed.

Popcorn actually started the Ford Fairlane in which his body was later discovered as Payne was leaving the property. Wade turned to capture the last photo taken of East Tennessee's Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton. - created at http://animoto.com

Show Summary
Moonshiners have been around in the U.S. since the Whiskey Rebellion of the 1790s. Surprisingly, there are still a number of Americans who make moonshine, an illegally produced distilled beverage, mainly in the Appalachian region of the country. This docu-series tells the stories of people who brew their shine, often under the cloak of darkness in woods near their homes, and the authorities who try to keep them honest. The show allows viewers to witness practices rarely seen on television, including firing up the still for the first time -- a moonshiner's rite of passage. The show also introducers viewers to moonshining legends such as Marvin ``Popcorn'' Sutton.

I love this show. My kids even asked how hard it would be for us to do it.

Crazy....

Distillation isn't hard, but doing it well takes some skill.

Also, it seems like the biggest trick in liquor distillation is getting rid of the first volume that contains methanol, as it's toxic. The guys on the show do it by "feel", but I bet the legitimate distilleries use analytical equipment to make sure it's gone.

I noticed in the last couple videos I posted that they only discarded
the first 1 or 2 oz. and then started drinking it...they did know that
they had to get rid of the beginning liquid....probably more like
cleaning the piping to get to the good stuff........

I'm surprised we don't hear more of this stiff blowing up.
