East coast is the traditional version and much more strict.

I found that the "West Coast Swing" was just a little harder than the "East Coast Swing"........
every time I tried it, I kept ending up falling into the East Coast steps.........

Here's some very good instructions for the dance......

I'm afraid you may have missed this one....
it is a "Boogie Woogie" Swing Dance with a little different
pattern than the "East Coast Swing"......this may be a
better example....
notice the basic "tripple step-tripple step-rock step" throughout.....

I have found that people who learn just watching videos and in group classes
do not get very good because it is harder for them to identify your strengths and
weaknesses. Do not try learning just off videos.

I am a very kinesthetic learner. I can watch all the videos I want, but I still won't get it. I need hands-on teaching.

If I was in Arizona, Chris, I'd be there. Christine's moves are flawless. Good teacher, I assume if she's running her our studio.

...... video lessons are good for folks,
that already know the "basic steps" and music
that goes with them, that want to try new
"variations" that are shown here.....
but, some of them go into great detail showing the
steps and various rythms......
and, you definitely need a partner for practicing....
you also need the help of an accomplished dancer
(the dance instructor) to "get it right"....

Watch this video and you will "East Coast Swing Dance".......

She was just in an expo for the 4th of July. It was pretty awesome.

The funny part is you could tell you the video/group people were, they
stuck out like sore thumbs. lmao

On the other hand Christine was pretty amazing to watch.
She also taught me math. haha
