Why are so many shows now rated MA?

Defiance and Dominion are 2 shows I like to watch. But they both now have so many sexually explicit scenes, that I end up turning them off.

It's reached the point where finding something without that rating is becoming harder to find.

What do you think?

What do I say? T and A sells. Networks are desperate to lure simpleminded viewers to the "Boob" tube (it's not called that for nothing)

I really enjoyed Defiance until it got so X-rated. Dominion has been hard for me since the start.

And then, they're announcing shows that are so close to porn that only certain viewers will rush to them. Rush. Satisfaction. The premised are so close to smut that it's disgusting.

And the scenes even show up in some of my favorites like Royal Pains and Suits.
