One day I will learn how to sit still for hours without any home projects and try reading a book! Right now I just don't have time.
You should. If you're reading the right stuff it's not a waste of time. I really enjoy reading and go through a lot of books.

It's not all that new, but it's almost 900 pages about a grungy and god forsaken city and what happens when an ill conceived experiment with grubs gets out of hand. It's a dirty, fantastically bizarre and imaginative read with numerous subplots going off all at once. I really liked it
Newly elected U.S. President Ohmshidi is sharing the wealth, rewriting the Constitution, and changing the National Anthem. But when he begins to implement his agenda - banning oil production, slashing military budgets, and establishing a 'New World Order' - our nation becomes the target for a new wave of Muslim extremists, who rename America 'The Islamic Republic of Enlightenment.' Enter Jake Lantz, a seasoned army major and ace helicopter pilot who assembles Firebase Freedom, a ragtag team of action-ready soldiers and patriots in order to take on the violent 'Army of Allah.'

Anyone ever read any Stephen Hunter?
Incredibly excellent sniper novels!!
Start at the beginning if you can.
Most libraries carry his books or have access to them.
Jake, you would like his books!
I sure did.
Right now I'm reading a book about a woman who was one floor under the floor jfk's assassin shot from. Kind of a raising-questions kind of book. Not quite a full conspiracy thing, though. Very interesting!
I've got duty tonight from 0000-0600 at the barracks. My favorite reading time!

I hear they're making a movie off of it. I'm not looking forward to that. Besides Lord of The Rings, every book I've ever seen adapted to a movie was TERRIBLE, and just made me angry as I watched it.
Case and point:
1) Harry Potter
2) Twilight Series
Yes, I read the Twilight Series. I read them back before they were little teenie-boppers' favorite things in the world. The books are outstanding. They couldn't have picked worse actors for the roles. Freaking embarrassing - if I was the author of those books, I'd be so incredibly angry.
