One of my favorite authors of non-fiction is Jon Krakauer. Into Thin Air and Into The Wild arre both outstanding reads.

Funny you should say that because I have both of them on my shelves. If you like mountaineering, those are outstanding books!

Almost finished Azincourt by Bernard Cornwell. An outstanding book if you like to read about medieval battles and the filth, blood and despair that went with them.

Screw the romance. I want action, history, death and mayhem in the books I read!

I did the same and got a copy of Watchmen. That was a couple of weeks back though.

Nothing like shopping in the right places for book bargains!
We have a VON store here that sells all softcovers for a buck and all hardcovers for two. Even coffee table books.
And the stock rotates fast.
Works for me.

If you get the chance read the "Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R.R. Martin. It's fantasy, which I usually don't care for, but it has plot, action, excellent character development, and leaves you wanting more. Can't wait for book 6 to come out.
