I'm from Florida, and I recently visited the aquarium. It was awesome!!

I guess an aquarium is ok, but in Florida, I'd go for Pennekamp State Park. There you can actually swim with the sea creatures.

I still haven't checked it out yet...been meaning to take my son. I think he's getting old enough now that he would really be stoked about going. Got to find a deal on Groupon or something though if I'm taking the family!

Our company wired the Aquarium, I think it's pretty cool but I have yet to see it from the visitors side though. I'm always there for work purposes and in the back area.

If you go there when you see the penguins, pull your car keys out and jingle them, they're fascinated with keys for some reason. We also just finished the dolphin show exhibit, I believe it is suppose to open in April.

I don't know why but I just don't care for the new aquarium it seems way too compact.

the only issue with the aquarium here is that it is SOOOO busy. we went again yesterday but you just cant enjoy it sometimes.. go early and when there are less people.

And try to go when there aren't going to be a bunch of kids on field trips.

I'm from Florida as well, Central FL to be exact. I now live in Atlanta and have been to both Sea World and the GA Aquarium. In my opinion Sea World completely spoiled me. The aquarium is cool, but it just can't hold a candle to Sea World....especially the shark exhibit.
