Atlanta Rush "Hour"

An FYI for those visiting Atlanta. Rush hour lasts from about 7-10am and from 4-7pm. Beware of the downtown connector, spaghetti junction, jimmy carter blvd, 10th st, 14th st, and peachtree industrial blvd to name a few.

Don't forget 75 north into Marietta. It's always slow through there.

I used to live in Canton and work in Alpharetta off of Old Milton. That drive really sucked, but I know other areas around Atlanta were much worse. It took 45-60 minutes to go 17 miles.

They run together for about nine or 10 miles through town.

That's the downtown connector, it runs through midtown and downtown, and is a parking lot during rush hour.

It also depends on direction. Since everyone lives outside of the city the morning commute is terrible in bound and evening is bad outbound. Additionally because of the Grady curve and 20 inbound in the afternoon gets bad just south of the 17th st exit on 75 and Peachtree on 85
