Unless you are a terrible driver anyway, you should have no problem driving through Atlanta...I have a 2010 unlimited wrangler with 3.5" lift and 35" tires...I'm in grad school at Buckhead in the evenings and I drive from Alpharetta. It is not that bad...just lot's of traffic.

I'd agree that it's only a deathtrap if you can't drive to begin with, there are much worse cities to drive in, like DC or Chicago.

It's a Jeep, not a sports car. You have to drive it accordingly.

I drive a lifted 2D JK and have no issues.

I have a 78 Cj with a 360 and a three speed with rear drums and I drive in ATL everyday to go through downtown to grant park from Dunwoody. It's not so bad but some days I take back roads if traffic gets to heavy. I really only have issues when it's stop and go just due to the braking and the manual non-hydraulic clutch killing my thigh. Other than that I LOVE driving it everyday.
