I haven't but I'll keep my ears open. They usually announce premiers just a few days out. At least, that's been my experience.

Thanks. They are announcing it in other cities, but I have not heard anything about Austin yet, darn it!

I didn't even know they went forward with making it. Very interesting! It seems like it could be a good movie like There Will Be Blood if it's cropped a lot.

I've never read the book, are the plots similar?

There will be 3 movies, similar to how the books will be released. Because of this, the plot will be similar to the books.

I watched the trailer and it looked pretty so-so. The book has such a dark 50's imagery to it that gives it a bit of mystic. Doesn't seem like this director captured it.

I had no idea this was even being CONTEMPLATED...this is awesome. It appears (Atlas Shrugged Reviewed by Atlas Society Founder | Benzinga.com) that the film does the book real justice. I hope so. Like many, Ayn Rand was my introduction to philosophy. While I have grown much in that regard, Atlas Shrugged will always be one of the greatest books ever written in my opinion. Ms. Rand is a much better writer than she is philosopher!!! And THAT should be considered a compliment, not a knock.

I am eagerly awaiting news on the premiere, thank you cityprofile for this delightful piece of news!

I've been after Keith to give me his copy for a while.

It's a massive read, I'm going to have to get through the three books I'm currently on.
