We just got a deep dish pizza. There is a place back in Michigan that has amazing deep dish pizza and so I was hoping it was similar. It wasn't bad but just didn't compare.

I will say, it was 1000 times better than Gattis Pizza which may be the worst I have ever had. We had it one night when we first moved down here and were living in a hotel. I was seriously worried at that point about finding good pizza around here.

Not to my knowledge, I think the last one closed down.

I would be too. Like if I moved up north and couldn't find a good taco. I would be upset.

El Arbol is amazing, try the pork belly. As is Justine's on deep east 5th.

One of my favorite steak places is the Oxbow Steakhouse in Belton. The ribeye cannot be beat

Kreutz's in Lockhart for great BBQ. Black's down there is great as well... and a bit more full meal friendly with sides. Prefer both to Salt Lick, but they are quite different experiences.

Hasler Brothers in Bastrop (downtown) is a really nice little steak place out of the way.

My wifes office had a happy hour at El Arbol and she said it was really good. Looks like I will have to try it out.

Best Pizza in Round Rock, is Niki's Pizza and Pasta. Their RR location used to be a Saccone's shop, but Saccone's had issues with the rent, so they closed up (were evicted).

Yep, But the one in Round Rock is horrible. Not even a shadow of the original, unfortunately.

Gino's has some great Italian dishes, but their pizza is "ok".
