Have you tried Kegcowboy.com yet? They are here in houston, shephard, just north of westheimer. They are even or cheaper for just about everything compared to keg connection. and you save on shipping. (plus 5% off everything for local homebrew club members)

Like I said I am doing end on end brewing. I started with a commercial pack over a year ago. At the end of fermentation I transfer to a keg to lager. I keep some of the yeast from the batch in a pickle jar and add water, about half and half, and put it in my fridge (just as I do the sourdough). I then brew another batch. When I am done I put the stuff in the pickle jar back into the wort and start over.

I keep two or three pickle jars mostly from my lager, ale and wheat yeasts. And yes I have left it in there for months before I brewed another batch. I often make more then one jar and sometimes I mix them together. I do not know if it is doing anything because what I have in one jar is the same strain as in another. And yes my yeast has mutated to a stable yeast.
