We always had good luck trolling the coves in the morning, it seemed to me the fish made their way out to the open lake later in the day, but I haven't been since my parents sold their house 15 years ago.

You can catch shad up river by highline
And for striper drift over humps and structure by rocky point.

Any suggestions Ray on time/weather for stripper fishing.

Is it better based on Season too?

We just moved into Cassie.

Keith,
Cassie is a hot spot during may, june, july on humps 32-45ft deep using live shad 3ft off of the bottom. Also try cut gizzard shad this time of the year.

The fishing was great I had a trip today and we caught tons of fish jigging off of the bottom 43ft deep with white 1ounce jigs by rocky point.

Thanks for the tips Ray. Weather was absolutely perfect on Saturday. We spent the entire day mounting our trolling motor and not fishing though.
