As an outdoorsman in Texas I am loving the recent revolution in outdoor gear, especially clothing, that stands up to the oppressive Texas heat. What gear have you discovered that either makes summer life a little more bearable or failed miserably?

I am not a big name brand guy, but I have found Under Armour heat gear skivvies and loose T's to be lifesavers. Well worth the $20-25 each, it is now all I wear as a base layer whether I'm heading for the trail or the office (no more pit/ butt sweat stains!!!)...

Angler shirts. The vent in the back keeps my back from sweating in the midst of summer. If I have to sit in a chair, it looks like I was working out only my back muscles, then sat down.

My blood is to thick.
