I found trying to go from downtown to 51st on Lamar is maddening between 4-6. Or just about anywhere in the central area.
I agree, Friday is one of the worst days to clear through downtown. Monday is almost always better for getting downtown from the north.

I live in Williamson Co, but ride a motorbike into Austin weekdays. More people need to do ride-share, mass transit or two-wheeled transport, really makes a difference. I don't really have problems with traffic, just obstacles.

I thought the toll roads where supposed to clear it out, it seems it only made things worse.

Access roads parallel with highways inside the city. Only an idiot could design those. Cars coming off off-ramps from the left trying to cross to the far right in about 100yards, cars coming out of commercial driveways on the right crossing over to get to the far left side, to the intersection or an onramp...all at the same time.

I had to drive into Austin last night, I came to stand still at Oltorf, made it through, nothing. No wreck, nothing, this was at 7.

183 at 35 is horrible. I'm at the point where I'm going to start using the toll roads.

I've never been through during traffic peaks, pretty bad?
