How do you like your Vegimite?

I have never tasted Vegimite, but my curiousity has forced me to import a jar. How do you like your Vegimite? Most people say they like it on toast with butter..

I did a quick google and it appears there are a few places in Montreal that actually sell it.

It sounds like a slightly bizzare concoction, but I may have to try it as well. I figure it might be palatable on some slices of fresh, toasted baguette.

From what I can gather, it's not the same thing as Marmite.

So I ate some, and I can honestly say I prefer Nutella.

I tried that this summer! I wouldn't have it everyday, but it isn't the worst thing I've tried. It's best when you but A LOT of butter on the bread & then spread on a thin layer of vegimite.

We picked up a jar as a stocking stuffer joke about 6 years ago, and it's still unopened, no one brave enough to try it.

Guys you really need to be open minded about this stuff. You spread it on after the butter or margarine but very very sparingly. Forget chocolate, nutella or any other sweet spread, it is meant to be a savory flavor.

I like to spread it on then put a slice of cheese on the top then pitot under the griller for a bit tilt he cheeses melted. Mmmmmmm.

I've never heard of this stuff. When I pass by the thread I always get a chuckle because it reminds me of the old "I Love Lucy" show, where Lucy is trying to sell that good ol' Vitameatavegamin!
