Do you guys name your cars?

I have a few friends with Jeeps and we have all named ours based off of the model desigation. Mine is an XJ so it became Xavier Johnson. The two TJ's in our group became Ted and Thaddeus Johnson, and the former SJ (Failed to make it out alive from a botched conversion) became Steve Johnson.

Does anyone else name their cars? And how did you come up with the name?

I named my Willys "B". Shes a CJ3B.

I also used to have a '54 Chev Bel Air hardtop named "sweetheart"

and I have a truck now called "precious" because my son & grandson started calling it that. They say I freak out when someone gets near my "precious" little truck so that's what we call it now.

After having probably 30 cars over the years I have never named one until the latest, a 1997 Escort 5 speed beater that I use to drive to the park & ride to catch the bus to work. For some reason it's fun to zip around in it compared to our SUV and truck, so I call it Zippy.

I name every one of my cars, just based on what type of personality I feel that they have. My old CJ (350, 67 frame, 74 tub, 76 front clip, a real frankenstein!) was named Bertha. I knew she was going to be a Bertha the first time I drove her - she was old, misshapen, loud, and angry.

I've got just shy of 20 Jeeps, and every one has had a different name/personality. I name my commuters, too. My current main car, a 2012 Honda Fit, is named Lucy

I think naming a car is an integral part of really forming a bond with the vehicle and getting to know her. I'm a firm believer, though, that a car should always have a personality of the opposite sex. For me, they're always females. Not sure why, but it just always seems to work out better!

You guys all probably think I'm crazy now haha

If you name you cars/ jeeps does that mean you refer to your wives/ girlfriends as Chrysler or Willys? Just asking.
