Most of the time here it's more of a description. The 99 superduty crewcab is the big truck. The 90 Bronco is the little truck. So far the 73 Bronco is just the early Bronco, but it seems to want a name. I'm leaning toward naming it Morgan for a few reasons:
1- We have a friend named Morgan who is little & loud. The 73 is also little & loud. The similarity is kinda funny.
2- The whole Bronco horse/Morgan horse thing. A Morgan horse is described as compact & strong, & that fits too.
3- Is an inside joke & won't mean anything to most people. It is an early bronco, & if anyone anywhere still knows about Big Dog, they'll understand why something called Early should also be named Morgan.
My circle of friends growing up would name their cars after their girlfriend's mother. I had a girlfriend whose mom was named Sam, so I tried that on a 68 Cougar, but it didn't stick. The oddest one of those was a 64 Falcon named Agatha.
I have always named my vehicles, Thetimotin . . . doesn't everyone?
My '86 Jeep CJ-7 is BUMMER and my '05 Chevy SSR is DOOPHUS. They "answer" to their names and have License Plates to match.
Sorry but the story behind each name is much too long to type here.
Too long to type? Physically, that's not really possible. Well, I guess it could be, but it'd have to be an entire lifetime. But I am a fast typer, so I'd even take that one on.
My 2012 Honda Fit's name is Lucy!
