hey guys have you seen the new 2011 jk's... kinda disappointed with them... the removable tops are going to color match the bodies and the interiors remind me of the grand cherokees..

It isn't technically mine - belongs to my boyfriend - but I got him the lift kit and tires for his birthday and even though I live in the mountains we took it to the beach for my birthday

I've been researching an engine upgrade for my '86 CJ-7 for about a year now. Whenever I finally make up my mind, someone comes along with a "better idea" to add to the confusion.

Also, another major problem is finding a shop and/or individual willing and capable of doing the work properly.
A lot of the work was done when I bought it so many years ago. I had to go in and make everything work properly though. Total rebuild of the engine and tranny, axle swaps, changing wiring and cooling system, etc. Stock it came with a Buick 231 V6 so it was a somewhat easy swap to the larger V8. Keeping the 231 may have been a better option actually - there are a lot more performance parts for the 231.

I have had it a long time. It is due for some more work if I can find the time.

Sold this CJ several years ago then bought a couple dune buggies. Now the only jeep I have is a bone stock '09 Liberty.
