Mumblewood - you should definitely sent that into Jp magazine with a little description of how long he's owned it, specs and such - I bet they'd print it!
I have thought about it but the Ol' Man's just not into that sort of thing. Thanks for the compliment though, he does appreciate that.

97 TJ. Just put on new D44s, & cleaned up the axles, new shocks, brakes. Now to add the fun stuff
Nice! Much better! Hey what kind of tires are those?

Well it's very nice indeed! I've often fantasized about keeping a single Jeep for a long period of time, but my ADD kicks in very quickly! Plus the military moves me around a lot, so it's such a hassle to keep shipping them, blah de blah. But some day I'll settle down and stick with one for a long time...

I just added a great accessory to my jeep yj. I picked up a 14ft aluminum v-hull boat, with a good trailer and a restorable 15 hp motor. The boat is a 1959 and motor is 84. It's cold out there, but wishful thinking. Will post pics when I get some.
I guess I have officially gotten old. It's an old man's fishin' boat.
Just like the ones you see on TV, now I need a hat with fishing lures pinned all over it.
