regular cab bench seats

Has anyone ever tried a regular cab bench seat in a midsized truck like Toyota Tacoma? They are really uncomfortable, especially for the passenger when the driver is only 5'2" tall. To counter that I just ordered a set of these from Summit Racing for my wife's little truck. She better like em, she ain't getting a new truck.

Those really look nice. Does it come with the lower support assembly as well?

The worst is the vinyl bench seats, you slide all over them.

FINALLY they're in, the "universal mounting kit" is not worth the money. Better to fab your own. The sensors were what I was nervous about, on the pass side is an airbag switch that activates the airbag at a certain wieght. On the driver side is a "seat positioning sensor" that lowers the power of the airbag so it doesn't smash you when the seat is all the way forward. This was not like the good ol days when you tossed a set of "Mustang " buckets from the junk yard in there and drilled 4 holes and you're DONE. That's why I was in the house twanging the guitar or out walking with my dog while the installation was taking place.

Really looks good. How did you handle the sensors under the seat?

I didn't, actually, I didn't do the install. I didn't even go out there til it was done save to snap a pic. They were transfered to the new seats though.

So how do they seem? Are they a good bang for the buck? Comfy?
I need to replace the cracked original seats in my TJ and I'm looking for options.

So far they are oK, they are a stiff seat though, but are the 150 worth. I would not buy the brackets though. Better off fabricatig your own.
