Stolen!

Ever had your vehicle stolen? Did you recover it?

My 2010 Ford Escape XLT was stolen outside my favourite bar while out in Houston for Christmas. Yes, my truck was stolen on Christmas eve. They also got my glock 19 that was locked n loaded under my driver's seat. :[

I'm glad it was in my ex-husband's name who was being a toolbag at the time. I didn't have to deal with the paper work or be out $25K. lol

Just be certain the cops know you no longer have the Glock.

They refused to let me report it stolen. Gotta love the good ole SMPD. pfft.

I filed it lost/stolen with the dealer I bought it from. It's dated and such and I have it on file for my records. I'm waiting for the day the cops show up and arrest me for murder.

I was fired from a photography studio in the mall for "soliciting customers". (i never did) that night my professional camera was stolen out of my car while in my drive way. gee... i wonder who took it? i couldnt prove it and my insurance didnt cover it. :[ I couldnt even be in the car after that. it felt... dirty. so i sold it.

I'm confused. You're allowed to report your car stolen but not the contents? If the Glock was insured you should be able to file a police report just for the insurance company. Is the "good old SMPD watching too much Mayberry RFD?

I did have a car stolen once. I did all the police report and insurance stuff, and the car was recovered on the side of the road a couple of weeks later. Went and checked it out and the engine was blown so the ins. company totalled it. I should have gone to auction and baught it back....

My insurance company told me because it was not 'attached' to the vehicle (ie... stereo system) i cannot claim it. The police told me i cannot report the gun stolen. i dont get it either.

still waiting for the police to show up one day.

The contents of our homes is that "within" rather than "attached" to our homes.
