FIRE THAT DESTROYED A NEIGHBOR'S GOLF CART IN THE STREET

A neighbor's golf cart was burning when we saw it and I began videoing with my Canon Powershot S2 IS from across the street. Seemed the more they did the worse it became with water causing the fire to move about under the cart. This video does not show how they ultimately extinguished it, but they had to finally apply CO2 from a portable extinguisher and was able to subdue it. My guess is the local "Volunteer Fire Department" should have been more experienced with this type fire to have had better results. Even I know you don't obtain the best results without CO2 or a "Dry Chemical Extinguisher".

Was that a gas or battery powered golf cart?

Good grief!! Was anyone trapped inside? Was anyone hurt? If had been a Ford Pinto it would have been equip with the proper fire extinguisher. Do people actually own golf carts? There's this new fad that's been going on but it may not catch on. It's called walking. No wonder there is an obesity problem in the US. No may people in golf carts and hoverarounds. OK, I'll stop now.

Had to have been gasoline as they couldn't put it out "right-a-way" and
they kept washing the flames from under the cart.....pushed them toward
the firetruck a couple times and toward the neighbor's driveway......if you
noticed, he was standing in driveway with his "garden hose" flushing the
flames back toward the cart.....I hadn't seen this cart before, so don't know
what they were using it for.......also, didn't hear of anyone being
hurt.......just amazing that it didn't explode in their faces.......
